2011 WRO UAE National Robotics Challenge Registration

Registration for the 2011 WRO UAE National Robotics Challenge is now open.

Due to the increasing popularity of this event, we have decided to change the format of the National Competition and how the UAE team that will participate at 2011 WRO International Final will be selected.

Teams will need to register to participate in district competitions. The competitions will take place in selected schools across the nation.

District competitions for the WRO UAE National Robotics Challenge are being planned for:

• Abu Dhabi Competitions (2^ndof Oct. 2011) - HCT Abu Dhabi Women's College, Khalifa City 'A' Campus
• Al Ain Competition (4^thof Oct. 2011) - Al Yaqadha School, Al Zahir District, Al Ain. The school is opposite Tifl Al Emarat KG
• Al Gharbia Competition (6^thof Oct. 2011) - Al Marfa School
• Dubai Competition (Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, and Umm Al Quwain) (10^thof Oct. 2011) - Applied Technology High School (Institute of Applied Technology) – Dubai Campus
• Fujairah + Ras Al Khaimah Competition (12^thof Oct. 2011) - Applied Technology High School (Institute of Applied Technology) – RAK Campus

 Private teams may also register for the competition. Individual participants in a team do not have to attend the same school, but they do have to meet age requirements. Organizations, other than schools can register teams. Participating students should gain permission from parents/guardians and their school should be informed of their involvement.

Registration for the WRO UAE competition is open for teams to participate in:

• Open Category - Primary, Junior High and Secondary Levels

• Regular Category - Primary, Junior High and Secondary Levels

• WRO GEN II Football

• Special Exhibition Competition - Green City Challenge - Primary, Junior High and Secondary Levels

•  Special Exhibition Competition - University / College (Post-Secondary) Open Category Competition

The registration process is completely online. Coaches must register teams through this process. Schools can register as many teams as they wish.
